Withdrawal and refunds

Fourteen days to change your mind, with no need to explain why.

Last updated: 16 October 2026

Current situation

On wiringlab.studio no sales take place. There is no checkout, we receive no payments and we issue no invoices. Joining the waiting list, which we also call a pre-order, involves no charge and no obligation to buy: there is therefore nothing to refund and no contract to withdraw from. You can unsubscribe at any time by writing to info@wiringlab.studio.

The rest of this page describes the rules that will apply from the moment sales open. We publish it now so that you can read it before deciding whether to join the waiting list.

1. Who sells and who to contact

The supplier of the software is Fausto Maria Demetrio s.p., Vojkovo nabrežje 17, 6000 Koper, Slovenia — info@wiringlab.studio. Once sales are open, the seller will be Paddle, acting as Merchant of Record: it is Paddle that concludes the contract of purchase, takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles refunds in practice. The licence to use the software, by contrast, remains a contract with us.

You can send a withdrawal or refund request to us, by writing to info@wiringlab.studio, or directly to Paddle, using the details shown on the receipt and on the purchase page. Either way the refund is paid out by Paddle to the same means of payment used for the purchase. For support on the software, always write to us.

2. Consumers in the European Union and the EEA: right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, that is, you are buying for purposes outside your trade or profession, and you reside in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving any reason and without penalty.

2.1 The digital content exception

Wiring Lab is digital content supplied without a tangible medium. For products of this kind the law provides an important exception: the right of withdrawal is lost if performance of the contract has begun, that is, if you have downloaded or activated the software, and if before that:

  • you expressly requested that performance begin during the withdrawal period, and
  • you acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal once performance began, and
  • you received confirmation of this agreement from us on a durable medium, for example the order confirmation e-mail.

This is the exception provided by Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, as implemented in your own country — in Italy by Article 59 of the Consumer Code, in Slovenia by the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1). In practice: at the point of purchase you will be asked explicitly whether you want immediate access to the download and activation. If you agree, you waive the right of withdrawal. If you prefer to keep it, you can wait until the 14 days have passed before downloading or activating.

If performance has not yet begun, the right of withdrawal remains fully exercisable.

The Audio licence and the Pro subscription are not treated the same way. The Audio licence is a one-off supply of digital content, and the exception above applies to it in full. The Pro subscription is a continuing supply, and we do not rely on that exception for it: following the judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union of 9 July 2026 in Case C-234/25, a subscription of this kind is to be regarded as a digital service, for which starting performance during the 14 days does not extinguish the right of withdrawal. So if you are a consumer in the European Union or the EEA and you subscribe to Pro, you keep the 14-day right of withdrawal even where you asked to start using the software at once; if you withdraw, we may retain only an amount proportionate to the part of the period already supplied. In practice our commercial guarantee refunds the whole amount anyway.

2.2 How to exercise the right of withdrawal

An explicit and unambiguous statement sent within the 14 days to info@wiringlab.studio, or to Paddle, is enough. No particular form is needed: an e-mail saying that you wish to withdraw and giving your order number will do. If you prefer, you can use the model form set out in section 10.

2.3 Effects of withdrawal

Where withdrawal is validly exercised, the full amount paid is refunded to you, including any taxes, without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of receiving your statement. The refund is paid out by Paddle using the same means of payment you used for the purchase, unless you agree otherwise, and at no cost to you. The licence is deactivated and you must stop using the software and delete any copies of it.

3. Consumers in the United Kingdom

If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of the conclusion of the contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

The same exception as in the European Union applies to digital content: the right to cancel is lost once the download or activation has begun, where you expressly consented to that happening during the 14 days and acknowledged that you would lose the right, and where we confirmed this to you on a durable medium. Until supply begins, the right to cancel remains fully exercisable.

Independently of cancellation, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you the right to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and to a repair, a replacement or a price reduction where it is not. These rights cannot be excluded.

New rules on subscription contracts, introduced by the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, are expected to come into force in 2027. They will add a further cancellation window at the renewal of contracts of twelve months or more, renewal reminders on a durable medium, and an obligation to allow cancellation online. We already send renewal reminders and allow cancellation online, as described in section 8.

4. Customers in the United States

United States federal law gives no general cooling-off right for the online purchase of software, and no state imposes one for a purchase of this kind. What protects you is our 14-day commercial guarantee, described in section 6, which we honour for every customer in every state.

For the Pro subscription, which is a recurring payment, we apply the requirements of the Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act and of the state automatic-renewal laws: the terms of the recurring charge are disclosed in full before payment, your express consent is obtained, cancellation is available online at any time with no more steps than subscribing took, and we send a reminder before every annual renewal. Subscribers resident in California receive the annual reminder required by the Automatic Renewal Law.

Mandatory consumer protection rules of your state, where they apply, are unaffected by anything written here.

5. Consumers in other countries

If you are a consumer resident outside the European Union, the EEA, the United Kingdom and the United States, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence apply to you where applicable, and nothing on this page or in the terms reduces them. In addition, and regardless of what those rules provide, our 14-day commercial guarantee applies to you as well.

6. Our 14-day commercial guarantee

In addition to what the law provides, we offer a commercial guarantee: if within 14 days of purchase the software is not right for you, we refund you, even if you have already downloaded and activated the licence and even if you have already waived the statutory right of withdrawal.

This is a voluntary promise of ours, which is additional to your statutory rights and neither replaces nor limits them. To use it, write to info@wiringlab.studio giving your order number and, if you like, the reason: we read everything and it helps us improve. Alternatively you can send the request directly to Paddle. The refund is paid out by Paddle to the original payment method, as a rule within a few working days, and the licence is deactivated.

We reserve the right to refuse manifestly abusive requests, for example repeated purchases and refunds of the same product, or refunds requested after intensive and prolonged use of the software in order to complete a job. In such cases your statutory rights remain unaffected.

7. Statutory guarantee of conformity (consumers)

If you are a consumer, you are entitled to the statutory guarantee of conformity provided by Directive (EU) 2019/770 on digital content and digital services, as implemented in your own country. This means that the software must match its description and be fit for the purposes for which a product of the same type is normally used.

If the software has a lack of conformity, you are entitled, free of charge, to have conformity brought about, that is, to have the defect corrected and, if that is impossible or does not happen within a reasonable time, to a price reduction or to termination of the contract with a refund.

For a one-off supply, such as the Audio perpetual licence, the defect must be reported within the statutory time limits, which in the European Union are as a rule two years from supply. For continuous supply, such as the Pro subscription, conformity is owed for the whole duration of the subscription.

This guarantee cannot be excluded or limited: nothing on this page or in the terms reduces the mandatory rights granted to you by the law of your country of residence. To report a defect, write to info@wiringlab.studio describing the problem; we try to resolve it as quickly as possible.

8. Subscriptions: renewal, reminders and cancellation

The Pro subscription renews automatically, monthly or annually according to the plan chosen, at the price in force. Before you pay, the checkout states what you are subscribing to, the amount, how often it recurs and the date of the first renewal, and asks for your express consent.

You can cancel at any time, with no reason and no cancellation fee, in any of these ways: from the link in your purchase receipt and in every renewal reminder, which opens the subscription management page; by writing to info@wiringlab.studio; or by contacting Paddle directly. Cancelling takes no more steps than subscribing did. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, which remains usable in full, and there are no further charges.

We send a reminder before every annual renewal, and before any renewal following a free or discounted period, by e-mail, stating the date, the amount and how to cancel. We do this for every customer, wherever resident.

Save for the right of withdrawal and the commercial guarantee described above, and save for any mandatory rules to the contrary, periods already paid for and already used are not refunded pro rata. If a renewal has been charged to you in error or you were not expecting it, write to us: we look for a reasonable solution.

9. Business customers

If you buy for purposes connected with your trade, business or profession — including as a sole trader, and in practice whenever you buy with a VAT number — you are not a consumer, and the statutory rights of withdrawal and of conformity described above do not apply to you by law.

Our 14-day commercial guarantee applies to you in full, exactly as it does to consumers: it is our own promise and we make no distinction.

10. Model withdrawal form

Use of this form is optional. Complete it and send it to info@wiringlab.studio only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.

  • To: Fausto Maria Demetrio s.p., Vojkovo nabrežje 17, 6000 Koper, Slovenia — info@wiringlab.studio
  • I hereby give notice of withdrawal from the contract for the supply of the following digital content: ..........
  • Ordered on: .......... — order number: ..........
  • Name of consumer: ..........
  • Address of consumer: ..........
  • Date: ..........
  • Signature, only if the form is sent on paper: ..........

11. Viewer edition

The Viewer edition is free. As there is no price paid, there is nothing to refund and the right of withdrawal does not apply. You can uninstall it whenever you like.

12. If we disagree

If a request is refused, we explain the reason in writing. As a consumer you may turn to the alternative dispute resolution bodies competent in your country, or to the court designated by law, as a rule the court of your place of residence. The full rules on governing law and jurisdiction are in the terms.
